VoxAfrica Named Channel Of The Year

VOXAFRICA THANKED their viewers and supporters following the TV station’s recent win at the 2017 African Pride Awards, which saw them pick up the title of African Channel Of The Year.

Other awards handed out on the night include the Lifetime Achievement Award, which was won by Congolese musician Awilo Longomba. 3ShotsOfTequila picked up an award for best Online Entertainment Platform Of The Year, Ghana Boyz for Best International Dance Group, Dboy Dayo for Radio Personality Of The Year, and DJ Selecta Maestro for Outstanding Disc Jockey Of The Year.

VoxAfrica Commercial Manager, Yvette Twagiramariya, said:

“Everybody is a winner. We all stand for one nation and that is Africa, and we know it takes a lot of passion, hard work and dedication to manage an African channel in the diaspora so shout out to all nominees – BEN TV, ROK TV, Trace TV, TVC, Nollywood TV and ABN.

This year’s African Pride Awards, hosted by comedian Eddie Kadi, took place on August 13 at The Montcalm Hotel in London.
