The Young Igbo Women Association present their 2nd intimate Women’s Empowerment Dinner event where we’ll be joined by inspirational, motivational and successful speakers that will dine with us whilst shedding light on their success, background, career, and how women living in diaspora can promote our Nigerian heritage.
Please come along to feel empowered, uplifted and liberated. We ask for a fee of £3.75 to confirm your seat. This fee is separate from the menu price at the restaurant and we kindly ask that guests bring a total of £40 for the meal.
The Young Igbo Women Association was founded in the summer of 2017. We are a group of Igbo women living in diaspora that aim to learn more about our Igbo culture and history. We are a sisterhood that uplifts, celebrates, unites and empowers one another.
We are also aware that in Nigeria there are many women and girls that do not have a voice, suffer in silence, face hardship and are victims of physical abuse therefore in March 2018 we also established an NGO named ‘Young Women of Nigeria Empowerment Foundation’ (YWNEF- @ywnef_ng )) to help ‘the girl child’ through our fundraisers here in the UK. Furthermore access to help is limited and that is why YIWA has formed this charity that aims to help women in need.
